What is a keg tracking tool?
A keg tracking tool lets you monitor the location, movement, and status of kegs in real time. It’s ideal for breweries and wineries that want to minimize losses, streamline operations, and reduce manual tracking.

- Better management: Know how many kegs you have and where they are. This avoids stockouts and helps meet demand.
- Reduce losses: Kegs are expensive to replace. Tracking them lowers the risk of loss or theft.
- Improve efficiency: See how long a keg stays at a location and plan deliveries more effectively.

How to activate this new keg tracking tool?
To activate it:
- Open Settings in Telesto and go to the second tab.
- Enable the “Enable Keg Tracker” checkbox and save.
Once enabled, a Keg Tracker button appears on your dashboard. When adding or editing a product, check the “Is this a keg?” box to make it trackable. If you don’t, that product won’t appear in the tracker.
How are kegs linked to customers?
Go to the Keg Tracker home screen and tap the red button (with the two arrows icon). This opens a form to set the keg’s current location, whether in your warehouse or with a customer.
When adding a transaction and selecting a customer (previously added in the Customers module), Telesto logs that keg with the customer, allowing you to track how long it stays with them.
How to see how many days a keg has been with a customer?
- Open the Keg Tracker module.
- Each row shows how many days the keg has been at its current location.
Tap a row to view the full movement history of that keg, including time spent at each location.
Where to save the capacity and dimensions of a keg?
Once the keg module is enabled:
- Go to the Products module.
- Select or edit the product you want.
- You’ll see new fields: “Is this a keg?”, capacity, and dimensions.
- Fill out the details and save.
How to view how many kegs are in a specific location?
- Open the Keg Tracker module.
- Click the filter icon in the top right.
- Select your filter: location or customer.
- Tap “Filter” to see matching kegs.
